Crayfish is the common name for the decapod crustaceans belonging to the superfamilies Astacoidea and Parastacoidea. Also known as freshwater lobsters, crayfish should not be confused with lobsters from the superfamily Nephropoidea. The term "crayfish" entered the Turkish language from Greek.
